Privacy Policy

Who we are

We are ‘101Networks’ and our company is Fusion101 Ltd, and despite the cool ‘team photo’ on the homepage it’s actually just me here (Edward – I have to have goals right!:) Anyway – this privacy policy applies to all ‘101’ sites and services (see full list at bottom of page). The company and contact information can be found at the bottom of this page under Contact Us.

Companies spend fortunes on lawyers to bury their practices in terms and conditions to turn members of their ‘free’ sites into commodities. I can’t afford a lawyer and don’t have the brains or time to be tricky (it’s taken me (a non-techie) weeks to try and understand privacy law after the Facebook fiasco and their 2000 expert employees couldn’t even be bothered to… whatever… and little fish like me have to now spend $$$ to prove we are not, and never have taken advantage of our members). At 101 I try to be WYSIWG – what you see is what you get. I’m only interested in helping people and my motto is people before profit and really keeping your stuff secure – not turning you into a commodity or making merchandise of men as the Bible puts it. If you have any questions, or have a legal background and spot something I missed, email me using contact link at the bottom of any site. Please refer from this page from time to time to stay up to date on our privacy. I will endeavour to make changes to this policy visible on our site home-pages.

In our first 18 years we sent ONE ‘marketing’ email to our member database regarding 1 free social event!

Since 2000 I’ve never had a proper means to email members, but will have one at some point (not to spam you but inform you of genuinely useful things and events). This should give you an idea of how keen (I am not) to spam you:)

This policy is effective from [1st June 2018].

What personal data we collect and why

Most of our sites are non-membership and collect little or no personal data, but cookies may collect a small amount of non-personal data so the site works for you (eg a cookie remembers if you accepted cookies or not, or what navigation you see if you are logged in:). Some sites collect a small amount of non-personal data so we understand traffic like search terms used to find our pages. Where we have ads, some information is collected by ad technology providers (via Google Adsense) for ad frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting and to combat fraud/abuse. 101 does not have access to data collected by ad technology providers. 101 does not track your web history or ‘habits’ and has no interest to do so. When one of our sites needs cookies to function you can say OK or Reject on on the homepage.
